With a degree in History and a past in journalism, I am a creative inside-the-box thinker, who likes getting his feet dirty. For almost ten years I worked as a news-reporter, strategic radio-advisor and chief-editor for the morning news show on Belgian national radio. In 2010, I joined UNFPA in Uganda, as a where I was asked to set up community-radio project. Working in remote districts the local Local radio stations in remote districts were encouraged to listen to their listeners and find solutions for their questions on reproductive health and gender and turn it into reliable information with the help of experts from within the community. Getting journalists to listen and their listeners to speak, is exactly what drives me to join Internews in their goal to give a voice to citizens around the world.
